Evelyn Tubb has the skills of a virtuoso, as she shows right from the start...is more artful and dramatic...is, as ever an enthusiastic advocate for the unknown, always alive to the texts, but equally outstanding is Tubb's interpretation of another 'mad song' in the play I Burn, I Burn, by Eccles (which in the 17th century was greeted with the greatest acclaim of all).
